Cyber Monday Deals?

Candy Welch of Phoenix shopped online for the first time over the Thanksgiving holiday and plans to do more.

"I had no idea you could get the same deals online that you get in the stores," she said. "With the low prices and free shipping, I'm going to change my shopping plans."

Fucking really, Candy? You really think that you're in the minority here? You had no idea about this internet shopping thing? Think of a lot of other people are making that discovery this year too?

Dear Tyler,

Thank you for contacting the iTunes Store Support team. My name is Steve. I'm sorry to hear that your iTunes Store purchase of "Battlestar Galactica" is missing from your iTunes library. I can certainly appreciate your concerns, and I know you must be eager to have this purchase back in your library. I will be happy to help you with this matter today.

Fortunately, that item may still be on your hard disk. To look for it, follow the steps in this article:

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1408

If you have any of these items on an iPod or iPhone, you can transfer them from the iPod or iPhone to your computer using iTunes. You'll find instructions in this article:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848

If you are unable to locate one or more of your purchases, please reply to this email and include the order numbers and titles of the missing purchases. You can find the order numbers of your purchases on your email receipts or in your Purchase History. To review your purchase history, follow these steps:

1) Make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple website:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download

Note: Installing the latest version of iTunes will not affect your Library or any items in your account that you haven't downloaded.

2) Open iTunes and sign in to the iTunes Store, if necessary.

3) From the Store pull-down menu at the top, choose View My Account.

4) Enter your password and click View Account.

5) Click Purchase History. You will see the details of your orders. To see a full list of the items from each order, click the gray circle with the white arrow next to each order number.

If you are missing all or most of the purchases you made on a certain account and couldn't find any of them, you don't need to reply with the order numbers or titles of the missing purchases. Just state that you are still missing all of the items you purchased, and include the name of the account you used to purchase the items.

Thank you for choosing the iTunes Store. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns regarding this matter. I'll be more than happy to assist you with whatever I can.

Sincerely,

Steve

New RSS Feed

It's time I act like a real geek and host my own blog. I'm switching to self-hosted wordpress.

New feed is feed://www.tdhurst.com/?feed=rss

Let me know what you think.

Seven things I'm dying to tell you...

The rules are simple. Write seven things about yourself and then tag seven people, link to their blogs and ask them to do the same.

I was tagged by @spellwight and @dpatricklewis this week, so here goes.

1. I am a huge Seattle Mariners fan. I grew up listening to baseball games and always dreamed of going to Spring Training. My very first tickets were given to me by Raul Ibanez, who I recognized at the Apple Store. I videotaped myself getting out of the car, walking through the parking lot and walking into the stadium. One of the best days of my life.

2. Everything good that has happened to me in AZ has stemmed from working at the Apple Store at the Biltmore. I quit because they wouldn't let me teach customers anymore.

3. I have a tendency to never ask permission, read the directions or think things out beforehand. This has not always gone well, but attempts to change have failed.

4. I am terrible at cutting my fingernails. I bit them for 28 years and HATE having to cut them. I get manicures as often as I can. On a related note, I have never owned a comb or brush. Okay, so those thoughts aren't really related.

5. I moved to AZ five years ago to attend grad school, got bored and never finished. Honestly, I think the only reason I'm still here is because I'll feel guilty if I leave without my degree. Yes, this sounds ridiculous and I haven't attended class in over two years.

6. I hate stupid/ignorant people. I have very little patience for those that seemingly refuse to learn about the world around them. Yes, I'm a bit of an elitist and have high standards for those I associate with.

7. I get very, very dizzy on any kind of ride. Roller coaster, merry go 'round, spinning cups...gah. If it moves and it's not a car or plane, I get dizzy. Yes, I threw up once when I was 16 and have never, ever been on a ride since.

Now, I'd like to hear seven things about the following people.

Chelsea Winkel because she is really funny when she's honest.
Paige Dellarmi because she's infatuated with the Suns and Matt Barnes.
Don Crossland because it will take him a day to write this much.
Zach Owenby because I don't think he talks enough.
Jenn Hoffman because she loves talking about herself.
Mark Dudlik 'cause the dude is kinda crazy and his website kicks ass.
Paul Martinez because he's an even bigger baseball fan than I am.

Remember to pass it on!
