I'm a big Diet Coke drinker. Have been my entire life, much to the dismay of anyone who understands how bad it really is for our bodies.
But after taking a break for almost a week because of my upper respiratory infection, I had a few glasses yesterday and noticed something that had always happened but I never took much notice of before: it made me bloated. Last week's rib-area injury has made my mid-section super sensitive, and after the Diet Coke, it felt worse.
Way, way too much sodium. So to D. Patrick Lewis and everyone else who warned me, thanks.
And to Vin, who decided to work on balance today instead of kill me, thanks.
